Compact Disc Recordable (CD-R) and Compact Disc Rewritable (CD-RW) are both forms of optical storage media.

### Why this is right Both CD-R and CD-RW are compact-disc formats, so both belong to optical storage media. ### The concept Their shared optical-disc format does not make their recording behavior identical. CD-R is generally written once, while CD-RW can be erased and rewritten. This is the central contrast tested by the course questions. ### Terms - **Optical storage media**: Disc-based storage read or written using light-based technology. ### Remember Shared format does not mean shared rewritability.
