Prize Rules
Every university has its own leaderboard. The top 10 students at each university win cash prizes every week and every month. These rules say who can win, how rank is decided, and how prizes are paid.
1. Who can win
Any signed-in student can win, on the free plan or a paid plan. You compete in the ranking of the university on your profile. Visitors without an account are not ranked.
2. How rank is decided
Rank is set by accuracy: the share of the questions you answered that you got right. Each question counts once, and your first answer to it is the one that scores, so retaking a quiz does not change that question's score. Only questions that exist in myBenkio courses count. Ties are broken by the number of questions you answered correctly.
3. Getting ranked
To be ranked in a week or a month, you must answer at least 20 different questions in that period. A quiz recorded as finished faster than a person could read it may not count.
4. Weekly and monthly periods
The weekly board covers the current week, which starts on Sunday. The monthly board covers the current calendar month. Each board starts fresh when its period begins, and you can win in both.
5. Prizes
When a period closes, the students ranked 1 to 10 at each university win. Prizes are paid in cash. The amount for each rank is set by myBenkio and can change from one period to the next.
6. How winners are told and paid
We contact winners by email and pay prizes by bank transfer, so keep the email on your account up to date.
7. Fair play
We can remove a student from a leaderboard, and cancel or recover a prize, for cheating, using more than one account, sharing an account, or misusing the quiz system, for example by submitting answers without taking the quiz. Our decision is final. Our Terms of Service and Refund Policy also apply to prizes.
8. Hiding your name
You can hide your name and photo from the leaderboard in Settings, under Privacy. Other students then see you as Anonymous. Your rank still counts and you can still win. We use your account details to contact you.
