The Nimbe Adedipe Library at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), is classified under which category of libraries?

### Why this is right A library is classified by the community and institution it serves. The Nimbe Adedipe Library serves the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), supporting the university’s teaching, learning, and research, so it is an academic library. ### The other options - **B. Public library**: A public library serves people in a local community, rather than primarily supporting a university. It may be tempting because it is open to readers, but access alone does not determine the library’s category. - **C. National library**: A national library serves a country at the national level, often preserving and collecting the country’s published works. The Nimbe Adedipe Library serves a university, not the nation as a whole. - **D. School library**: A school library supports pupils and teachers in a primary or secondary school. A university library serves higher education, so this category does not fit. ### Terms - **FUNAAB**: Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta. It is the university that the Nimbe Adedipe Library serves. - **Academic library**: A library connected to a college or university that supports its courses, students, staff, and research. - **Public library**: A library intended to serve people in a local community. - **National library**: A library with a country-wide role in collecting and preserving published material. - **School library**: A library that supports teaching and learning in a school, usually at primary or secondary level. ### Remember Classify a library by whom it primarily serves: a university library is academic, while a community, country, or school library fits a different category.
